      Against a backdrop of ever-increasing interest in the PRMB, two contrasting Late Miocene-Holocene stratigraphic frameworks have been alternatively used in the published literature. Three major stratigraphic boundaries are considered in these stratigraphic frameworks and named as T1 (base Quaternary), T2 (base Pliocene) and T3 (base Late Miocene Cited by: 3. des changes between clayey diatom oozes and diatomaceous clays ranging in age from late Miocene (about 10 Ma) to Quaternary.
